Nicholas (ISAC Fall 19 Intake) is from Portsmouth, UK. He is a foreign English teacher at Taizhou Univeristy. He has been teaching at the college since Sept. 2019. Teacher Nicholas 11月13日，外国语学院党总支书记施安全率教授工作站团队成员来到临海城西中学，开展“外教走进乡村学校送教”活动；团队成员、外籍教师Nicholas Stanway为该校7年级同学上了一堂别开生面的英语课。 Nicholas Stanway老师以“have groups make one question”开始课堂教学，同学们的问题五花八门，外教诙谐有趣的回答激发了学生的学习热情。Nicholas围绕“Family”主题，快速地在黑板上画出生动的人物头像，通过简笔画“familytree”生动明了地呈现出来。课堂上外教老师声情并茂，通过形式多样的互动游戏、肢体语言、视图帮助孩子们学习单词。通过分组会话让孩子们体验外国的开放式教学的乐趣。纯正的发音和全英文的授课，吸引孩子们积极发言，锻炼了孩子们的听说能力。 课后，教授工作站成员与城西中学英语组教师对“Family”进行评课。老师们纷纷认为，外教的指令和时间分配非常清晰，把更多的舞台留给了学生；施安全在交流发言中表示，以学生为中心的课程，才能真正吸引到学生的注意力，像简笔画、板书的设计激发了学生的学习热情；外教Nicholas表示，课程导入要简短精要，控制在5分钟之内，难度要有梯度、由易到难。 “外教送教走进农村英语课堂，带给了学生很多新奇，增添了亮丽的色彩；今天Nicholas就像超级明星，被同学们团团围住，为学校营造了良好的英语学习氛围。”城西中学校长戴日就此次送教活动这样评价道。 Related to Taizhou University
