Guangdong Technion Israel Institute of Technology (广东以色列理工学院, English abbreviation GTIIT, website) is a Sino-foreign cooperative university run by the world-renowned institution of higher learning Israel Technion and Shantou University (STU).

The institute was officially established on December 5, 2016 with the approval of the Chinese Ministry of Education. It enrolled students in the first year of 2017. It is the first Chinese-foreign cooperative university with independent legal personality to introduce high-quality Israeli higher education resources. The representative project of cooperation between China and Israel in the field of education. In 2018, the institute was included in Guangdong’s “High-level University Construction Plan”, becoming the youngest college selected for the program. The four disciplines of materials science and engineering, food science and engineering, chemical engineering and technology, and environmental science and engineering are also listed as key construction disciplines of high-level universities.

The teaching language of the Guangdong Technion Israel Institute of Technology is English. Eventually, there will be 10 majors covering three fields of engineering, science, and life sciences, with a total of 5,000 students. The school grants bachelor, master and doctoral degrees according to law, and graduates will receive a diploma, degree certificate from the Israel Institute of Technology, and a diploma from the Israel Institute of Technology.
