School of Foreign Languages and Literature
The School of Foreign Languages and Literature is the oldest college in Wuhan University and one of the most comprehensive foreign language schools in China.
The school has 6 undergraduate majors in English Language and Literature, Russian Language and Literature, French Language and Literature, German Language and Literature, Japanese Language and Literature and Translation. The school has 227 full-time teachers, including 143 teachers in the College English Department and 84 professional teachers. The school hires foreign teachers to teach classes and opens famous forums at home and abroad.
The school has English Language and Literature, Russian Language and Literature, French Language and Literature, German Language and Literature, Japanese Language and Literature, Translation and College English; established Foreign Languages Institute, Institute of Foreign Literature, Translation Studies Institutes, regional and national research institutes, Wuhan University Compilation Center, Asia-China Innovation Education Research Center and other scientific research institutions, as well as the Cultural Communication Agency of the American Cultural Center of Wuhan University-Ohio State University. The French Research Center is the key research base for the Ministry of Education. The Sino-French Humanities Research Center, the African Research Center and the Australian Research Center are the research institutions of the Ministry of Education. The college holds 2 to 3 large international and domestic academic conferences every year, and provides translation services for major international academic seminars in China.
The school has a strong faculty and has 227 full-time teachers, including 143 teachers in the College English Department and 84 professional teachers. Among the professional teachers, there are 21 professors, 94 associate professors, 43 doctoral degree holders, 2 special state allowance recipients, 1 special professor, 3 young scholars, and 1 provincial teaching teacher. One teacher is a teacher. More than 95% of professional teachers have foreign study, study and work experience. A number of teachers won awards in the evaluation of teaching competitions and scientific research achievements both inside and outside the school. I have hired foreign teachers to teach classes all the year round, and opened famous forums at home and abroad. The college now has one national quality course, one excellent course in Hubei Province, four excellent courses in Wuhan University, one national self-discipline project, eight national social science projects, and more than 60 provincial-level projects.

The school is committed to deepening teaching reform, strengthening teaching management, and continuously improving the quality of teaching. It has won many awards; in particular, it has focused on improving the overall quality of students through exchanges with foreign universities and practical exercises. There are more than 1,000 students, including more than 700 undergraduates and more than 300 graduate students. Students are frequently awarded in foreign language competitions both inside and outside the school, and the passing rate of foreign language proficiency tests exceeds 90%. The employment rate of students has remained above 95%. Most of the graduates are national ministries, universities, research institutes, foreign-funded enterprises, large state-owned enterprises and institutions, which are well received by employers.
The school has established academic links with universities, research institutions in the United States, Britain, France, Germany, Russia, Japan and other countries, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. Full-time English Language Teachers
Job Description
1）Teaching courses Academic Writing, Fast Reading of English Newspapers, Cross-Cultural Communicative English, Critical Thinking Practice, and English Writing Workshop,etc.
2）Full-time Teaching post and part-time teaching post (for summer term) are available.
3）The contract will be for a period of 1-2 years.
Job Requirement
1）English Native speakers below 60 years old.
2）Holders of a MA or PhD degree in languages, linguistics, literature, education, culture, or other relevant disciplines.
3）A minimum of 2 years full-time teaching experience in institutions of higher education.
4）TEFL/TESOL certificates are preferred.
