Introduction to Zhaoqing College

Zhaoqing University (肇庆学院, website) is a public full-time comprehensive undergraduate university founded in 1970.

The university is located in Duanzhou District, Zhaoqing City, Guangdong Province, in the Pearl River Delta Region. It is located in the National Key Scenic Spot, Star Lake Scenic Area. The campus covers an area of 1214.3 acres and has a beautiful environment.

Zhaoqing University has ten subjects, including economics, law, education, literature, history, science, engineering, agriculture, management, and art. There are 66 undergraduate programs for Guangdong, Guangxi, Hunan, Hubei, Gansu, Henan. Hebei, Anhui, Liaoning, Jilin, Shandong, Shanxi, Yunnan, Qinghai, Guizhou, Shaanxi, Ningxia, Inner Mongolia, Xinjiang and other 22 provinces and regions enrolled students, with the qualifications for enrolling international students and students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.

Zhaoqing University has 22,729 full-time students, 10,390 correspondence students, 1,425 faculty members, 1 “double-employed” academician, 134 professors and other high-ranking titles, 401 deputy high-ranking titles, and 257 doctoral degree holders. There are 629 master’s degree personnel. The high-level talents represented by Xijiang scholars have grown steadily; a group of experts and scholars who are well-known at home and abroad have been hired as visiting professors. It has 1 Ministry of Education approved specialty, 6 provincial specialty, 1 provincial key support discipline, 11 provincial practice teaching bases, and 7 provincial experimental teaching demonstration centers.

The university has complete hardware facilities. The existing teaching equipment and equipment exceeds 200 million yuan, the school library has a collection of 1.863 million papers, 961,000 electronic books, more than 1,500 paper newspapers and periodicals, and has more than 20,000 kinds of audio and video materials, and has opened China. More than 20 full-text databases such as Digital Library, China Journal Network, and Springer Link.

Zhaoqing University regards teacher education as the foundation of the school.
