The Liaoning Institute of Science and Technology (website) covers an area of 871,000 square meters with a construction area of 390,000 square meters. The original value of fixed assets was 958 million yuan, of which: the original value of teaching and research instruments was 193 million yuan. The library has a collection of 1,013,000 books. There are 40 on-campus laboratories (centers), one provincial key laboratory, one engineering research center, two engineering laboratories, four provincial experimental teaching demonstration centers, and one provincial-level virtual simulation experiment project. There are 1 college students’ innovation and entrepreneurship education base, 10 provincial-level college students’ off-campus practice education bases, 1 provincial-level college students’ entrepreneurial incubation demonstration base, 1 provincial-level dual-creation demonstration base, and 1 provincial-level creative space.

The school has 17 second-level teaching units, which are mainly based on work, covering 37 undergraduate majors and 6 higher vocational majors in engineering, management, literature, arts and education. There is one national undergraduate comprehensive reform pilot program, one provincial-level undergraduate comprehensive reform pilot program, one provincial-level undergraduate key construction major, and one provincial-level undergraduate engineering talent training model reform pilot program, and provincial-level innovation and entrepreneurship education reform pilot. 2 majors, 8 provincial and above specialties, 5 provincial teaching teams, 13 school-level teaching teams, 10 school-level scientific research teams, and 14 provincial-level quality courses. Liaoning Institute of Science and Technology actively carries out applied scientific research for the industry and localities. In recent years, it has undertaken 740 scientific research projects, including 19 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation and the National Science and Technology Support Program, and 185 projects above the provincial level. It has undertaken one of the first batch of “new engineering” research and practice projects of the Ministry of Education, 27 projects of industry-university cooperation and education projects of the Ministry of Education, and undertaken 190 educational and teaching reform projects at or above the provincial level, and won 27 provincial teaching achievement awards.
