Introduction to Jilin Agricultural Science and Technology University
Jilin Agricultural Science and Technology University (JLASTU) is a provincial full-time public university. It is located in Jilin City known as “Rime Metropolis”. The northern campus region of the university stands at Zuojia Nature Reserve and the Southern region stands at the Economic and Technological Development Area of Jilin City.
The university covers 1.98 million square meters with a total floor space of over 313,000 m2. It comprises 13 academic colleges, including 43 undergraduate majors and 18 vocational majors. There are 766 faculty members in total and more than 12, 100 full-time students. At present time, the university has formed its agricultural specialty and advantage and developed its school pattern as a harmonious unity of different disciplines including science, industry, economy, management and liberal arts.

About Jilin City
Jilin City (
Panorama) is the second-largest city and former capital of Jilin province in northeast China with a population of 4.5 million. Jilin City is also known as the River City because of the Songhua River surrounding much of the city. In 2007, it co-hosted the Asian Winter Games.
Jilin City is situated in a hilly area near the Songhua River. There are four famous mountains surrounding Jilin City, which is North Mountain in the west, Long Tan Mountain in the east, Zhuque Mountain in the North, and Turtle Mountain in the south, plus Songhua River, it forms a bagua in Taiji pattern. Jilin City has a four-season, monsoon-influenced, humid continental climate. Winters are long (from November to March), cold, and windy, but dry, due to the influence of the Siberian anticyclone, with a January mean temperature of ?16.7 °C (1.9 °F). Spring and autumn are somewhat short transitional periods, with some precipitation, but are usually dry and windy.
