Introduction to Guangdong University of Finance
Guangdong University of Finance (广东金融学院, website) is a provincial public undergraduate university and the only financial university in South China. Founded in 1950 by the People’s Bank of China, the school is an institution with “central bank genes”. In 2004, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, the school was upgraded from “specialist” to “undergraduate” and enrolled the first batch of undergraduate students; in 2012, the first batch of postgraduate students in finance was recruited; in 2012, the first batch of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan students were recruited; In the year, we recruited the first batch of international students; in 2016, we cooperated with the University of Nottingham in the United Kingdom to jointly recruit doctoral students.

Campus
The university has a Guangzhou school headquarters and Zhaoqing campus, and newly built Qingyuan campus, with a total area of nearly 2,300 acres. The Guangzhou School Headquarters is located in Tianhe Longdong, Guangzhou. The Zhaoqing Campus is located on the Qixing Lake in Zhaoqing. The Qingyuan Campus is located in Qingcheng District of Qingyuan City.
Guangdong University of Finance has nearly 23,000 full-time undergraduate students, more than 100 full-time professional postgraduates, more than 100 foreign students, and nearly 24,000 adult education students. The university has 18 colleges (campus and departments), and there are 46 undergraduate majors, covering economics, management, law, literature, science, engineering, and the six disciplines, which are based on the management law and finance. Guangdong University of Finance has established more than 100 off-campus practice teaching bases of the national practice teaching base Pudong Development Bank Guangzhou Branch. The Financial Subject Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center is a national experimental teaching demonstration center. The financial discipline virtual simulation experiment center is a national virtual simulation experiment center. It is one of the few universities with two national demonstration centers. Guangdong University of Finance was selected as the first batch of applied pilot universities in Guangdong Province.
