Introduction to Chongqing Vocational College of Economics and Trade
Chongqing Vocational College of Economics and Trade (重庆经贸职业学院, website) is a full-time ordinary higher vocational college approved by the Chongqing Municipal People’s Government and filed by the Ministry of Education. It is a demonstration base for undergraduate entrepreneurship in Chongqing, a Chongqing-level crowd-creation space, a designated base for vocational skills in Chongqing, a foreign trade vocational certification examination site, and a Chongqing service outsourcing talent training site.
The college is located in Qianjiang District, Chongqing, a central city in southeast Chongqing. It covers an area of 506 acres, has a building area of 150,000 square meters, and 106 internal and external practice training bases. The total value of teaching instruments and equipment is more than 50 million yuan, and the library has 280,000 books. The school has built a golf course, the largest driving school in the southeast of Chongqing, standardized track and field stadium, basketball court, badminton court and indoor fitness sports venues. At present, there are more than 4,500 students, and there are teaching units such as the School of Finance and Economics, the School of Business, the School of Applied Engineering, the School of Humanities, and the School of Innovation, including accounting, financial management, e-commerce, marketing, automotive inspection and maintenance, big data, cloud There are 22 majors in computing, digital media technology, early childhood development and health management. There are nearly 300 faculty members, including 35 associate professors or above (2 professors), and 56 master or doctoral degree or above.
Chongqing Vocational College of Economics and Trade adheres to school-enterprise cooperation, integration of production and education, and co-construction of Tudi Technology City and Digital College with Tsinghua University Tudi Holdings, and Alibaba, Chinasoft International, Chongqing Yubei District Government Xiantao Data Valley, Zhuhai Yinlongxin Energy Vehicle, Beijing Guanghui Jintong, VIVO Headquarters, Chongqing Party Finance and other units have jointly established majors in accounting, cloud computing, flight attendant, automobile inspection and maintenance in the fields of curriculum development and order training. Cooperate with universities such as Chongqing Technology and Business University, Changjiang Teachers College, etc., to expand the channels for the promotion of students’ undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications, and to establish links with a number of well-known universities in Australia, South Korea, Ukraine, Thailand and other countries to provide students with opportunities to study abroad. Since the establishment of the school, the quality of talent training and social influence have been continuously improved. The employment rate of previous students has been above 98%, and has won 26 provincial and ministerial-level awards such as skills competitions.
