Bozhou University (亳州学院, website) is a public general undergraduate university approved by the Ministry of Education. Bozhou University started in the Mengcheng Teachers’ Training Institute established in 1909. The Mengcheng Normal School was established in 1952. In March 2002, it was independently upgraded to Luzhou Teachers College with the approval of the Ministry of Education. In March 2016, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, it was independently upgraded to Luzhou College. In May, Luzhou College was officially established.
The university covers an area of 925 acres and has nearly 8,000 students.
