Introduction to Xi’an No.1 Middle School
Xi’an No.1 Middle School (西安一中, website) is a model high school in Shaanxi Province and a key middle school in Shaanxi Province.
The school was established in 1947; in 1953, the school was listed as one of the first 26 key middle schools in the country; in 1963, the school was approved by the Ministry of Education as one of the ten national key middle schools in Shaanxi Province; in 2011, the school was promoted to Shaanxi Province Ordinary high school model school.
As of May 2012, the school covers an area of 61 acres with a construction area of more than 30,000 square meters; it has 35 teaching classes and more than 1,789 students; it has 158 full-time teachers, of which senior teachers account for 41.6%, and first-level teachers account for 44.8%.
