In the warm spring of March, the campus is filled with the fragrance of flowers. Along the banks of the North Canal, peach blossoms bloom in profusion, looking as resplendent as rosy clouds. On March 15th, the college cordially invited foreign teachers to participate in a series of activities during the River – side Institute Peach Blossom Festival, kicking off a wonderful cross – cultural encounter in the enchanting spring scenery.
“Capturing Spring in Photos”
With cameras in hand, foreign teachers strolled around the campus. They captured beaming faces beneath century – old phoenix trees and froze the vibrant spring scenery along the winding flower – lined paths. Each photo brimmed with vitality, unfolding the beautiful stories of the institute in spring.
“Creating Art with Brushstrokes”
Using plain silk as paper and lacquer colors as ink, Chinese and foreign teachers picked up their brushes together to paint on fans. As the brushstrokes flowed, the vermilion color of the window lattices on the fans conveyed the weight of history, while the blue – green color of the canal’s spring water symbolized the thriving vitality of spring. When the round fans were gently waved, the thousand – year – old wisdom of intangible cultural heritage awakened at their fingertips, sparking a magnificent collision with contemporary design concepts.
“Celebrating Spring Globally”
At the cultural bazaar, members of the Hanfu club, with their flowing robes, demonstrated the elegance of traditional Chinese etiquette. The robot club showcased cutting – edge technology, highlighting the allure of a future shaped by intelligence. More than twenty student clubs wove a magnificent youth tapestry with culture as the thread. Foreign teachers savored the profundity of Eastern philosophy during the tea – tasting experience and decoded the ancient genes behind Chinese characters through movable – type printing. Diverse cultures intertwined here, creating a harmonious resonance.
This Peach Blossom Festival, which integrated traditional culture and artistic experiences, was not only a heartwarming spring gathering but also allowed foreign teachers to deeply appreciate the charm of Chinese culture. In the future, the college will organize more cultural activities, enabling tradition and modernity, history and youth to blend on campus and build a bridge for cross – cultural exchanges and mutual learning among Chinese and foreign teachers and students.
