Introduction to Yichun University

Yichun University (website) is located in Yichun City, Jiangxi Province. Since ancient times, Yichun has the reputation of “the land of Jiangnan Jiali and the prosperity of cultural relics”. It is the first batch of ecological pilot cities, national garden cities, national green model cities, China’s outstanding tourist cities and national health cities. Yichun has a beautiful scenery and convenient transportation. Hurui Expressway, Hangchang High-speed Railway and Zhejiang-Jiangxi Railway pass through the city. The predecessor of Yichun University was Yichun College, founded in 1958. In January 2000, approved by the Ministry of Education, the original Yichun Teachers College, Yichun Medical College, Yichun Agricultural College, and Yichun City Staff Amateur University were upgraded to full-time public undergraduate colleges.

Yichun University has three campuses, the headquarters, the north campus and the new campus, covering an area of 2020.64 mu. There are 17,860 full-time students. There are 1,414 faculty members (including workers and workers), among which 1003 are full-time teachers. The proportion of teachers with senior professional titles is more than 43.27%, and the proportion of full-time teachers is more than 74.88%. In recent years, the school’s reputation for running a school has improved. Since Yichun University was established, the school has worked hard to improve the level of running schools. Yichun University vigorously promotes scientific research and strengthens schools, and pays attention to scientific research and feedback. There are 10 provincial and above scientific research platforms such as the 2011 Collaborative Innovation Center. In the past five years, the average annual research funding of teachers has exceeded 40,000 yuan, and 56 national scientific research projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation Project and the National Social Science Fund Project have been undertaken, and more than 1,000 other types of projects have been awarded. According to incomplete statistics, 60% of primary and secondary school principals, medical institution leaders and township leaders in the western Yunnan region are graduates of Yichun College; the school has trained Chen Xianhui, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the special professor of the Yangtze River Scholars Program of the Ministry of Education. Yichun University has one national-level university student practice base, two provincial-level talent training model innovation experimental areas, and three provincial-level experimental teaching demonstration centers.
