Shandong Medical College (山东医学高等专科学校, website) is a provincial full-time ordinary college, affiliated to the Shandong Provincial Health and Family Planning Commission, and the competent department of education is the Education Department of Shandong Province. The school was founded in 1966 as a branch of Qingdao Medical College. Currently, the school has two campuses, Linyi and Jinan.
The Linyi campus is located in the beautiful historical and cultural city of Linyi, with a beautiful campus environment and pleasant scenery. The Jinan Campus is located on the northern foot of Wanling Mountain in the beautiful suburb of Jinan in the southern suburb of Quancheng. It has convenient transportation and an elegant school environment.
Shandong Medical College covers an area of 1695 acres, with a total building area of 478,000 square meters. The total value of fixed assets is 784 million yuan, of which the total value of teaching and scientific instruments and equipment is 140 million yuan. Shandong Medical College currently has 983 faculty members and 786 full-time teachers. Among them, there are 277 master’s degree holders, 266 staff with associate titles or above, and nearly 60 people studying abroad. 2 national teaching teams and 4 provincial teaching teams were established, 5 of whom won the title of Shandong Provincial Teaching Masters, 7 of them were awarded the title of Provincial Excellent Teachers, 8 were listed as national professional qualification examination proposition experts, and 21 master tutors , 195 out-of-school part-time teachers with rich practical experience and strong business ability are selected and recruited. Approved by the Provincial Department of Education, two 3 + 2 undergraduate training programs have been launched: the pharmacy major linking Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the medical imaging technology major linking with Taishan Medical College. Cooperated with Qingdao Laoshan District Health and Family Planning Bureau to carry out the free training of targeted medical students in rural orders. The two majors of nursing and pharmacy are key construction majors supported by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance. The major of nursing has won the only one in Shandong Province as the first national model of health service in vocational colleges.
