Introduction to Beijing University of Technology
Beijing University of Technology (北京工业大学, website) was founded in 1960. It is a multi-disciplinary city-level key university with a combination of engineering, science, economics, management, literature, law, art, and education. In 1981, it became the first batch of master’s degree granting units approved by the Ministry of Education, and in 1985, it became a doctoral degree granting unit. In 1996, it passed the pre-examination of the “211 Project” and officially entered the ranks of the top 100 universities in the country in the 21st century. . In September 2017, the school officially entered the ranks of national first-class discipline construction universities. 7 disciplines ranked among the top 500 in QS World University Rankings 2019, ranked 33rd in the 2019 China University Rankings released by QS, and 5 disciplines of Chemistry, Materials Science, Engineering, Environment and Ecology, and Computer Science entered ESI 1%.
Beijing University of Technology headquarters is located at No. 100 Pingle Paradise, Chaoyang District, Beijing, east of East Fourth Ring Road South, west of West Dawang Road, south of Shuanglong Road, north of Pingle Paradise Community; there are also Zhonglan, Guanzhuang, Huayuan Village, Liuli Jing, Huixin East Street and Tongzhou 6 campuses; covers an area of 96.151 million square meters.

Beijing University of Technology offers 65 undergraduate majors, graduate majors covering 34 disciplines and 27 master’s degree authorization points; 33 first-level disciplines, 20 first-degree doctoral degree authorization points, and 33 first-degree master’s degree authorization points There are 12 professional degree authorization categories; 18 post-doctoral mobile stations with 207 people on the station. There are 3 national key disciplines, 21 key disciplines in Beijing, and 18 key construction disciplines in Beijing. 2 national engineering laboratories, 3 “111 plan” intellectual introduction bases, 1 national industry-university-research center, 1 international cooperative research center, 1 national key laboratory cultivation base jointly established by the province and the Ministry, and engineering research by the Ministry of Education There are 2 centers, 5 key laboratories of the Ministry of Education, 1 strategic research center of the Ministry of Education, 44 Beijing-level scientific research bases, and 4 industry key laboratories. Two professional journals are regularly published.

Beijing University of Technology has 24,940 students, including 8807 full-time graduate students (1387 doctoral students and 7,420 master’s degree students) and 864 part-time graduate students; 13480 ordinary undergraduate students (undergraduates (13,468, 12 junior college students), 1,495 junior college students in adult education (1,394 undergraduate students, 101 junior college students); 294 non-planned higher education students are currently working for 294 doctoral degrees. There are 484 foreign students graduated (16 doctoral students, 26 masters, 27 undergraduates), 102 graduates (1 undergraduate, 101 non-educated students), 538 students enrolled, and 896 students at school.
