Introduction to Yunnan Minzu University
Established in 1951, Yunnan Minzu University (YMU) is a comprehensive institution of higher education for all Chinese ethnic groups. It is also a provincial key university co-founded by the State Ethnic Affairs Commission and the People’s Government of Yunnan Province.
As one of China’s earliest universities intended for all ethnic groups, the university is located in the city of Kunming, a city with diverse ethnic cultures, convenient transportation, delightful climate.

Foreign Teacher Recruitment Notice
International English Instructors:
I . Requirements
1) Language: Native English speakers
2) Major: Liberal Arts preferred
3) Degree: Master Degree and above
4) Certificate: TESOL/TEFL etc.(at least 120 teaching units)
5) Experience: 2 years or above English language teaching experience
6) Others: In good health, aged 22-55, TESOL/ TEFL certification preferred, relevant working experience preferred.
Ⅱ. Job Description
1) Courses: Spoken English, Western Culture, Communicative English, English Writing, English Speech and Debate, Introduction to Linguistics, etc. [Usually 2-3 different courses every semester]
2) Teaching Hours: 12-14 teaching hours/week (45 minutes/teaching hour)
3) Office Hours: 4 hours/week
Ⅲ. Salary
Basic Monthly Salary: BA: RMB 4,000
MA: RMB 4,800
Ph.D.: RMB 5,600 or above
Other benefits:
1) Monthly accommodation subsidy (if not living in the apartment provided by the university): RMB 800-1000;
2) Annual international round-trip airfare subsidy: varying from different countries(if completing one-year teaching);
3) Monthly in-city public transportation subsidy:RMB300-500 (if not living in the apartment provided by the university);
4) Basic Medical Insurance;
5) Paid winter vacation and summer vacation if contract is renewed for another academic year;
6) Paid Public Holidays as stipulated by Chinese laws and regulations.
7) Course Leader subsidy (if selected or voluntary): RMB 2000/semester；
8) Annual Travel Subsidy: RMB2200(if completing one-year teaching);
9) Service-Completion Subsidy: half of the monthly salary(if completing one-year teaching);
10) Lunch Subsidy: RMB220/month
11) Water、Electricity Fee Subsidy: RMB 200/month(if living in the apartment provided by the university)
12) Office Supplies Subsidy: RMB500/semester
13) Living Goods Subsidy: RMB500/semester
