On December 17, over 40 students from the School of Foreign Languages of Quzhou University attended the final English Corner event of the year, themed “The Most Memorable Moments of 2024”. Led by foreign teacher Brendan, the event aimed to review the past year and look ahead to 2025.
Starting with a fun quiz asking students to sum up 2024 in one word, the event quickly engaged everyone. Students then filled out personalized review and plan sheets, jotting down achievements, challenges, and future goals. Brendan’s creative grouping by birth month fostered camaraderie, encouraging open sharing of personal stories.?
Participants praised the event for enhancing English skills while offering a meaningful way to close the year and prepare for new beginnings. The School of Foreign Languages intends to develop the English Corner into a signature activity, serving as a platform for language practice and cross-cultural exchange.
