About Bailuzhou Middle School

Bailuzhou Middle School (白鹭洲中学, website), one of the key and the first model senior middle schools in JiangXi province, was originally established in 1241 under the name of “Bailuzhou Academy”. Thousands of celebrities have sprung up out of this cradle and gained great fame both at home and abroad.

The school has quiet surroundings and pleasant scenery. It is located on an oasis called Bailuzhou Island in the middle of the Ganjiang River, decorated with colorfully painted pagodas, beautiful flowers. It has highly prestigious reputaion both in domestic and overseas for its long history of education.

Bailuzhou Middle School has 59 classes, more than 3700 students, 252 faculty members, including 5 specially-graded teachers, 117 senior teachers; 12 provincial or municipal discipline leaders, 22 provincial core teachers, 1 foreign English teacher. All the teachers and students unite together towards the common goal of “running a first-class school and cultivating first-class talents”.

About the City

Ji’an is a prefecture-level city situated in the central region of Jiangxi province of the People’s Republic of China. It has an area of 25,219 km2 and as of the 2010 census, had a population of 4,810,339, of whom 538,699 live in the built-up (or metro) area made of 2 urban districts. Ji’an lies next to the Luoxiao Mountains with the Gan River running through the middle of the city.
