SWUFE-UD Institute of Data Science at Southwestern University of Finance and Economics (西南财经大学特拉华数据科学学院), approved by the Chinese Ministry of Education, is jointly established by Southwestern University of Finance and Economics and the University of Delaware. It is located in Chengdu, China. Three undergraduate programs are offered in the joint institute: Information Management and Information System, Financial Mathematics, and Logistics Management, and we enrolled the first batch of students in fall, 2020. Job Description
Candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas are welcome:
1) English Academic Writing
2) English Linguistics
3) English Literature and Composition
Job Requirement
Applicants are invited from those with teaching interests in English, and will devote himself/herself to inspiring and motivating students as well as responding professionally and supportively to their written work and oral presentation by providing courses and guidance for undergraduate students regarding academic writing, professional writing, and/or English literature. In terms of English teaching, the post holder will be expected to make a significant teaching contribution.
Applicants must hold a Master’s degree and above in a related discipline, PhD holder is preferred, have demonstrable experience of high-quality teaching with the ability to carry out on-campus teaching, as well as English learning supervision, along with excellent oral and written communication skills. Native English speaker with a Master’s degree in English, Linguistics, TESOL / TEFL and other related area will be preferred.
Application Information:
Appointment to this position will initially be made on a fixed-term contract. Salaries will be commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience. Continuation of appointment beyond the initial term will be subject to mutual agreement.
