On April 25, the Foreign Teachers’ Club of Peking University held a themed event titled “Colors in Danqing · Traces in the Artistic Realm” at Yannan 50.
Highlight 1: Exhibition Visit
The event included a visit to the “All Things Grow – Invitational Exhibition of Small Fine Works by Chinese Female Painters”. Foreign teachers explored aesthetics under the guidance of artists. Experts analyzed 60 fine works by 21 contemporary female artists, showing both interpretations of vitality and the era’s characteristics.
Highlight 2: Painting and Calligraphy Experience
Foreign teachers created artworks like painting flowers, birds, fish and insects and writing the character “Fu” under professional guidance. They experienced Chinese aesthetic concepts and the beauty of calligraphy lines. Each stroke was an exploration of Chinese art aesthetics.
Feedback and Future Plan
The foreign teachers highly praised the event. As a platform for cultural exchange, the Foreign Teachers’ Club will keep creating diverse cultural experience platforms to help international talents understand Chinese culture better and promote mutual learning among civilizations.
