Located in the city of Zibo, Shandong province of People’s Republic of China, Zibo Vocational Institute (淄博职业学院, website) is a full-time public higher vocational institute approved by the Ministry of Education of People’s Republic of China and supported by People’s government of Zibo. Set up in July 2002, the institute merged with Zibo Vocational College of Science & Technology and Shandong Light Industrial Art School to form a new Zibo Vocational Institute, which carried forward the fine traditions and teaching philosophy of over sixty years of the three. In 2007, ZBVI was honorably selected as one of the 100 National Demonstration Vocational Colleges by the Ministry of Education. According to the “Research Report on the Evaluation of the Research Competitiveness of Science among National Demonstration Vocational Colleges” co-published by East China Normal University, Zhejiang Financial College and TTKN(Beijing), the research competitiveness of ZBVI ranks 17th among over 1,300 higher vocational colleges and institutes. Job Description
The role of a Foreign English teacher is to help our students speak English and improve English practical skills. Those responsibilities include preparing lessons and lesson material, teaching young adult students, holding counseling sessions, assisting colleagues, maintaining records, writing progress reports, etc. You will have about 14-20 classes per week, each class is for 45 minutes; there is no office hours required for this position.
1. Position: English Teacher
2. Workload: 14-20 classes per week
3. Courses: College English/French and Western Culture and Festivals
Salary and Benefits
1. Monthly salary: 9,700 RMB/month for bachelor’s degree holders and 10,000 RMB/month for master’s degree holders
2. Flight reimbursement for a round-trip tickets
3. Private, on-campus accommodation with paid utilities;
4. Partially Paid holidays within the contract period. RMB 3000/month for Feb. and Aug.
Qualification
1. Bachelor degree or above
2. Hold a citizenship from a native English-speaking countries
3. 2 years of English teaching experience OR a TEFL/TESOL/CELTA certificate
