Hunan University of Science and Technology (website) started in the Xiangbei Construction College on the eve of liberation. In 2003, it was formed by the merger of Xiangtan Institute of Technology and Xiangtan Teachers College. It is the joint construction of the University of Hunan Province and the National Defense Science and Technology Industry Bureau, the Hunan Provincial People’s Government and the former national security. The General Administration of Production Supervision and Administration has jointly established colleges and universities, and the “Thirteen Five-Year” National Central and Western Universities’ Basic Capacity Building Projects support universities and Hunan Province’s “domestic first-class universities to build colleges and universities”.

1. About HNUST
Hunan University of Science & Technology is a comprehensive and key provincial university with multi-disciplines and distinctive education characteristics. It evolves from Northern Hunan Construction College founded in 1949 and was established in November 2003 by merging Xiangtan Polytechnic University andXiangtan Normal University. Located in Xiangtan, Hunan Province, HNUST covers an area of 3,107 mu (207.2 hectares) with floor space amounting to 974,300 m2. As a complex of 19 schools, together with a graduate school, an independent college, a college for adult education and an international education college, HNUST offers 88 undergraduate programs, 188 graduate programs, and 24 doctoral programs. HNUST has a teaching faculty of 1,618 out of over 2,503 employees and enjoys a nationwide enrollment of over 35,000 full-time students, along with a burgeoning community of international students. 2. Requiremnts:
1. Native English speakers with a Bachelor degree or above.
2. 2 years of English teaching experience or candidates with TEFL/TESOL certificate.
3. Age between 22~55.

3. Diploma of highest education and embassy/consulate accreditation.
4. Non-criminal Activity Certificate (NPCC) and embassy/consulate accreditation.
5. Physical Examination Form (Standard Form)
6. Digital photo (background color should be white)
7. Relevant teaching work experience certificate provided by former employer.
8. TEFL/TESOL certificate.
4. Salary & Benefits
1. Candidates with bachelor degree: 7500/month (RMB)
2. Travelling allowance:2200 RMB/ Year
3. Medical allowance: 600 RMB/Year
4. A round-trip air ticket is provided from school to your home city each year. If you do not fly back during one contract year, then you can get 4000 RMB/Year as a reimbursement.
5. Free accommodation: an individual apartment (a bedroom, a study, a living room, kitchen and balcony) with air-conditioners, TV, wash machine, kitchenware, computer, printer, etc. And water bills, electricity bills, internet fees, gas bills are all covered.
6. Paid holidays: winter holidays and other Chinese legal holidays. If you renew a contract, then the Summer holiday (July and August) will also be paid.
7. Other benefits: health & accident insurance.
5. Teaching Task
18 teaching periods of 20 weeks each semester (each period=45minutes). Generally you will have less than 16 teaching periods and only 18 weeks. Extra teaching will be paid.
