Introduction to Northeast Yucai School
Northeast Yucai School (东北育才学校, website) is located in Shenyang City, Liaoning Province. It is a school with glorious revolutionary traditions created by Zhang Wentian and Xu Teli. It is a provincial key middle school directly under the Shenyang Education Bureau and the first demonstration high school in Liaoning Province.
The school was founded in 1949 and was named Northeast No. 1 Yucai Primary School. In 1981, the school became a school directly under the Shenyang Municipal Education Bureau and was listed as a key middle school in Liaoning Province.
As of May 2017, the school has 8 campuses and 14 departments (excluding online schools), covering an area of about 800,000 square meters and a construction area of about 420,000 square meters. The number of students has grown to more than 15,000 and more than 1,000 teachers.
