“I like Wenzhou’s landscapes, especially Yandang Mountain and Nanxi River, which are very beautiful. I like to ride to work in downtown Wenzhou. I also like duck tongue and fish cakes. I like the culture and the spirit of Wenzhou people to create and to fight”. The 32-year-old Russian loves Chinese culture because of a tea shop owned by her friend’s mother. Polymi’s hometown is very close to Heilongjiang. Her friend’s mother opened a tea shop with many Chinese paintings in it, which are very beautiful. The charm of Chinese culture gradually attracted her. When she was in college, she applied for the Chinese language exam. She has studied Chinese language knowledge for 5 years and has a deep understanding of Chinese characters and Chinese culture.
In April last year, Polymi came to Wenzhou alone to work as the representative of IEK Group Corporation, Russia’s largest manufacturer of electrical products, in Liushi. She had worked in Suzhou in the previous 3 years, and her Chinese level has also been greatly improved. Polymi said that after staying in China for a long time, she will gradually like and understand Chinese culture. If you live in Wenzhou for a long time, you will be fascinated by Wenzhou culture. “Wenzhou people are a special group, very diligent, and innovative. More importantly, Wenzhou people dare to fight. I admire Wenzhou people!” Although I have only lived in Wenzhou for more than a year, Polymi also has a certain understanding of Wenzhou. She hopes that she can have a deeper understanding of Wenzhou culture.
