South China Normal University is an institution of higher education with a long history and a rich legacy. About International Business College of SCNU
International Business College (IBC) is located in the Nanhai Campus and offers 3 undergraduate degree programs: Financial Management, French and Finance (Sino-UK Joint Program), a Study Abroad Undergraduate Program, and a postgraduate program: Vocational Education (Financial Business English). IBC has a high level teaching faculty with internationally oriented perspective, more than one third of whom have studied or been trained abroad. It has 9 foreign experts and teachers, 564 undergraduates and 200 students in the Study Abroad Program.
IBC has been on the track of enhancing international cooperation, and highly values its undergraduate programs, aiming to develop students into elites with global vision, social responsibility as well as knowledge and skills for business. Meanwhile, it has been growing rapidly in such aspects as curriculum development, teacher development and student exchange programs. On the one hand, IBC lays a firm foundation for students to study abroad by vigorously increasing the proportion of courses taught in English or French and strongly encouraging teachers to teach in a foreign language. English Teacher Recruitment at IBC
We’re looking for amazing English teachers to join us in Foshan, the hometown of Bruce Lee. Founded in 1931, South China Normal University (SCNU) is proudly a member of China’s “National 211 Project” and the “Double First Class University Plan” for its rapid development and numerous achievements in education and research. As the international wing of SCNU aiming to import and provide foreign educational resources for the local people, Nanhai Campus was established in the Nanhai IT Park in 2001, which is currently a part of the Fohan High-tech Zone. It has witnessed the startup, the growth and the expansion of SCNU’s international education programs. In 2018, SCNU established its International United College on Nanhai Campus in cooperation with the University of Aberdeen (UK), Curtin University (Australia), Saint Louis University (USA), and the University of Tours(France).
The International Business College (IBC) came into existence on Nanhai Campus in2013 and has evolved into a comprehensive school including the French department, the Accounting department, the International Finance department and the English language center. IBC has been cooperating with more than 60 universities in both English-speaking and French-speaking countries.
Job Description:
Native ESL Teachers at IBC are expected to work 18 class hours (40 minutes each) per week. Classes are split into two types: small classes (20-25 students) and big classes (40 or more students).
Duties:
1. Teaching ESL – English as a Second Language
2. Lesson planning and preparation as well as curriculum development
3. Supervising tests and exams and giving level tests
4. Other tasks assigned by IBC and the English language center
Compensation package (Updated Jan. 2020):

2. Annual Salary: 160,000-200,000 RMB
3. Housing allowance is not provided. However, we can recommend real estate agent for you to find an apartment either in Guangzhou or Foshan; An apartment costs about RMB 5,500/month in Guangzhou and about RMB 2,500/month in Foshan

6. Medical insurance is not provided. Foreign teacher need to purchase your own insurance
Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s Degree or above in Education, Literature and Linguistics, Humanities and Social Sciences, Preferably MA in TESOL/TEFL
2.TEFL/TESOL/CELTA Certificate
3. At least two years’ English Teaching experience, IELTS Teaching Experience Preferred
4. Native English Speakers from UK, USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand
5. Energetic, cooperative, and dedicated
6. Age below 55
7. All credentials must be notarized in candidates’ home country.

About The City – Foshan
Located at the heart of the Pearl River Delta (PRD), one of the most economically vibrant areas in China, Foshan enjoys excellent geographic advantage. Foshan and Guangzhou put in place the “Guangzhou-Foshan Metropolitan Circle”, which is an important part of “Guangzhou-Foshan-Zhaoqing Economic Circle” and “Pearl River and Xijiang River Economic Belt”. Foshan leads the economic development of Guangdong Province.
Adjacent to Hong Kong SAR and Macau SAR, Foshan is within two-hour drive away from those two regions. With Guangzhou-Shenzhen High Speed Railway and Guangzhou-Zhuhai Intercity Rapid Rail, the three cities(Foshan, Hong Kong and Macao) have formed “1-hour Transportation Circle”.
At present, Foshan governs five districts, namely, Changchen District, Nanhai District, Shunde District, Gaoming District and Sanshui District. The city covers a total area of 3797.72 km2, and has a population of 7.3506 million.
