Jiangxi Normal University (JXNU, website) is located in the city of Nanchang, Jiangxi Province, People’s Republic of China. The city of Nanchang has a profound historical and cultural heritage. Nanchang is known as a place of “nature’s treasures, and outstanding people”. Nanchang city is the capital of Jiangxi Province. Jiangxi (which means “river west”) is a province in south central China, located just south of the Yangtze River and west of China’s southern coastline. The city of Nanchang is located approximately 100 kilometers south of the Yangtze River and 550 kilometers west of China’s coast, and 900 kilometers north of Hong Kong. Nanchang is settled along the Gan River, which runs south to north through the heart of Jiangxi Province.

Job Description
Requirements on Foreign Teachers
1. Bachelor degree of English language or literature, translation, linguistic, language teaching or other relative majors preferred, with two years of relative working experience.
2. Aged less than 60 and with a good health condition. Should have no criminal record. Knowledge about Chinese culture is preferred.
3. Give no more than 16 periods of lessons a week (40mins a period) and should not take any part time job out of Jiangxi Normal University.
4. Should respect China’s politics on religion, moral standards and customs, and shall not conduct any activity incompatible with the status of a foreign expert.
Wages, Benefits and Treatment
1. Monthly salary of a Bachelor, Master and Doctor will be RMB 7500, 8000 and 8500.There will be another RMB 600 a month for phone and utilities.
2. Jiangxi Normal University will provide teacher with a set of apartment during the term of employment.
3. University will provide teacher 12000 RMB to buy a round trip international plane ticket covering the distance from the working place in China to the airport in his/her country. There will be a travel allowance of 4000 RMB for a year.
4. University will buy medical insurance for teacher from PingAn Insurance Company, and pay for resident permit.
5. Teacher enjoys the winter and summer vacation as well as legal holidays in China according to the regulations of Jiangxi Normal University.

A private three bedroom apartment about 90 square meters is provided for each foreign expert.
