Introduction to Zhengzhou Institute of Technology
Zhengzhou Institute of Technology (郑州工程技术学院, website) is a public full-time undergraduate college established on the basis of the former Zhongzhou University and approved by the Ministry of Education. Comrade Chen Yun, then vice chairman of the CPC Central Committee, wrote the school’s name for the school. The school fully implements the Party and the country’s education policy, adheres to the direction of socialist schooling, and continues to deepen education and teaching reforms. It has become “the most influential Henan university in the 40th anniversary of reform and opening up” and “the most competitive university in Henan”.
Zhengzhou Institute of Technology is located in the north of Zhengzhou, the hinterland of the Central Plains, on the shore of the beautiful Yellow River. It covers an area of 1,483.83 acres. The school library has a collection of 1.6087 million paper media books, 1211 types of Chinese and foreign periodicals, 1.2 million types of electronic books, and 22016 volumes of electronic journals. It has 20 Chinese and foreign databases such as the “Chinese Academic Journals Full-text Database”.
Zhengzhou Institute of Technology currently has 1,137 faculty members, 72 senior professional and technical personnel, 298 associate senior professional and technical personnel, 53 doctoral degree holders, 626 masters, and 449 dual-teacher teachers. At present, there are 30 experts who enjoy special allowances from the State Council, academic and technological leaders in Henan Province, local leading talents, outstanding experts in Henan Province, and outstanding young scientific and technological experts in Henan Province. He has been awarded more than 30 people including outstanding talents in scientific and technological innovation in Henan province, outstanding young people in scientific and technological innovation in Henan province, scientific and technological innovation in Henan province, local leading talents, outstanding local contribution talents, and Henan provincial famous teaching teachers. A large number of well-known experts and scholars from all walks of life have been teaching in the school for a long time.
Zhengzhou Institute of Technology currently has 7 disciplines of engineering, economics, management, art, literature, education, and law, with 25 undergraduate majors and 44 specialty majors. There are 1 provincial key discipline, 4 provincial teaching teams; 242 in-school internship training sites, 317 off-campus internship employment bases, 3 national-level training bases, and 5 provincial-level demonstration training bases. The annual employment rate of school graduates has remained above 96%.
Zhengzhou Institute of Technology has successively cooperated with St. Regis College of Applied Arts and Technology in Canada, Chichester College in the UK, Limkokwing University of Creative Technology in Malaysia, Swinburne University of Technology in Australia, Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden, Osaka University of Tourism in Japan, Malaysia Many overseas universities, such as Lao Yue University, have established long-term cooperative relations.
Zhengzhou Institute of Technology has established the Henan Province Engineering Laboratory for Electric Vehicle Battery Network Combination and Maintenance Technology, Henan Big Data Double Innovation Base, Henan Postdoctoral Innovation Practice Base, Chinese Behavior Law Society National and Local Governance Research Association Academic Research Base, Zhongyuan There are 35 research platforms at all levels such as the Green Development Research Institute; and 2 provincial engineering technology research centers have been jointly established with enterprises, involving food, new energy vehicles, electronic information, new materials and other Zhengzhou industrial leading industries.
Zhengzhou Institute of Technology actively participates in the Beijing-Henan-Shanghai-Hebei cooperation strategy, launches all-round cooperation with Northern University of Technology, and signs a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement with Shanghai University of Technology. In June 2018, with the joint support of the Zhengzhou Municipal People’s Government and Tongji University, Zhengzhou Sino-German College, which was co-constructed by the Zhengzhou Institute of Engineering and Technology, was established.
