Wuyi University (website) is a multi-disciplinary university established by the Guangdong Provincial People’s Government in 1985. It is a local university that has obtained the master’s degree and bachelor’s degree right in Guangdong Province. It has the qualifications to receive Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan students and international students. Excellent undergraduate graduates are recommended to study for postgraduate qualifications. Wuyi University is located in “China’s first hometown of overseas Chinese” – Jiangmen City, Guangdong Province, the campus covers an area of more than 1,000 acres, with a total construction area of nearly 700,000 square meters. The environment is beautiful, the infrastructure is complete, and the school conditions are good. Wuyi University has 17 teaching institutions and 77 undergraduate majors (directions), covering 7 disciplines including engineering, science, economics, management, literature, law, and art. There are 19 practical teaching bases for college students and 14 provincial experimental teaching demonstration centers. There are a comprehensive experimental center for rail transit, a laboratory for chemical and environmental engineering, a mechanical and electrical engineering education center, a modern textile engineering experimental center, and a comprehensive experimental center for art design. The experimental engineering training base of the batch of engineering, in which the comprehensive experimental center of rail transit is the largest experimental platform with the largest scale, the most comprehensive and the most complete function in this province. As the main academic support and chief expert unit, Guangdong Qiaoxiang Cultural Research Center has made outstanding contributions to Guangdong Province’s acquisition of the first world cultural heritage, Kaiping Diaolou and the village and the world’s memory heritage. International Cooperation
Wuyi University vigorously carried out foreign exchanges and cooperation. It has established cooperative relations with nearly 50 universities in 14 countries and regions including the United States, Britain, and Germany, and has carried out substantive cooperation in discipline construction, personnel training, academic research, and teacher training. Among them, the overseas joint research and development and postgraduate joint training bases have been established with Rutgers University, Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and other high-level universities.
