Introduction to Suihua College
Suihua College (绥化学院, website) is a public comprehensive general undergraduate college in Heilongjiang Province. It is located in Suihua City, the hometown of black soil green products in China, and it is more than 70 kilometers away from the provincial capital Harbin.
Suihua College now has 12 colleges and 42 undergraduate majors, covering eight disciplines including education, literature, science, engineering, agriculture, economics, management, and art. There are 11,609 full-time students.
The faculty team is excellent. There are 820 faculty members, including 525 full-time teachers. There are 523 doctoral and master degree staff, 7 foreign teachers, and 2 experts who enjoy special government allowances. The campus of Suihua College covers an area of 400,000 square meters, with a construction area of 222,000 square meters. The total value of teaching instruments and equipment is nearly 120 million yuan. The library has a collection of 1.08 million paper books. It has a teaching building with multimedia demonstration functions and advanced equipment. The college has the only special education undergraduate program in Heilongjiang Province, a basic laboratory for higher education for the disabled and a combination of medical and educational rehabilitation center. It also has a special education research special issue. The school is a provincial special education teacher training base and a provincial special education art talent training. Suihua College and Suihua City Government jointly build a university student innovation and entrepreneurship base, which has become a brand-new business card for the strategic development of Suihua’s “capital city”. Schools and counties have been co-established with Suileng, Wangkui, Lanxi and other places to help counties in urban planning, tourism development, and talent training. Provide free technical support to enterprises and institutions under the jurisdiction of Suihua Science and Technology Bureau, and carry out site research through platforms such as the New Rural Construction Research Year and the Cold and Black Soil Economic and Cultural Research Institute. The school and Suihua Food and Drug Administration jointly established the largest food and drug inspection and testing center outside Kazakhstan. Established edible fungus research institute, cultivated new varieties of edible fungi, completed technical research on edible fungi cultivation in crop straw, and promoted the development of edible fungi industries in Suileng and Qing’an counties. The school has also built a ceramic art museum and a paper-cutting art expert studio dedicated to the protection and inheritance of local intangible cultural heritage such as Helen’s paper-cutting, Suileng black pottery, and Wangkui shadow play.
