Shaanxi University of Chinese Medicine, founded in 1959, is established as one of China’s leading universities in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). We are one of the eight key-constructive universities of TCM confirmed by the central government in 1978 and are one of the first-batches for the right to confer the Master degree of TCM granted by the Academic Degrees Committee of the Sate Council in 1981.

The university has more than 5,000 faculty members (including two affiliated hospitals), with 910 full-time teachers, including 504 associate professors; more than 500 master’s supervisors, 16 part-time doctoral supervisors, and 8 postdoctoral supervisors; He has jointly trained doctoral students with China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences and Chinese Medicine Universities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Nanjing, Chengdu, Heilongjiang, Zhejiang and Liaoning. It has established inter-university cooperation and exchanges with universities in the United States, Canada, South Korea, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand, Poland and other countries, as well as Taiwan and Hong Kong. More than 3,000 Chinese medicine professionals have been trained in more than 30 countries and regions, and there are 127 international students from 15 countries. In recent years, the school has fully utilized its geographical and humanistic advantages and actively served the national “One Belt, One Road” strategy. The school actively participates in the “Belt and Road” Chinese medicine communication industry. It has been approved by the National Silk Road International Cooperation Base for Chinese Medicine (Shaanxi) and the China-Swiss Chinese Medicine Center (Geneva). It has established a Chinese medicine medical center in the United States, Russia and Romania.
