Introduction to Sanda University
Sanda University (上海杉达学院, website) is a full-time private university founded in June 1992 by some professors from Shanghai Jiaotong University, Peking University and Tsinghua University under the background of Shanghai Pudong’s development and opening up. In August 1992, with the approval of Shanghai Higher Education Bureau, the school was named “Shandong University” and enrolled nationwide in the fall of that year; in February 1994, it was formally established with the approval of the National Education Commission; in March 2002, Approved by the Ministry of Education as a full-time general undergraduate college, the school is named “Shanghai Shanda College”, and is the first private undergraduate college in Shanghai; in August 2005, it was added to the Bachelor’s Degree with the approval of the Shanghai Degree Committee Degree-granting unit; in 2014, it passed the qualification assessment of undergraduate teaching work of the Ministry of Education.

Sanda University has two campuses, Shanghai Pudong and Jiashan, with a total area of 808 acres, a total building area of 300,000 square meters, teaching equipment and a total value of 200 million yuan, and a library of 1.28 million paper books. The school has 8 disciplines including economics, law, literature, engineering, management, arts, medicine, education, etc., 38 undergraduate majors, 6 specialized majors; now it has Shengxiang Business School, Management School, Information College of Science and Technology, College of Foreign Languages, College of Art Design and Media, College of International Medical Technology, College of Education, College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Jiashan Guangbiao College (School Foundation Department), Marxism College, Hudong Institute of Technology, Physical Education Department, etc. College (department, department).
