Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA, website) was founded in October 1952 and is one of the first aviation universities founded by New China. In 1978, it was designated as a national key university by the State Council; in 1981, it was approved by the State Council to become the first university with the right to confer doctoral degrees in the country; in 1996, it entered the national “211 Project”; in 2000, it was approved by the Ministry of Education to establish a graduate school; in 2011, Became a key university in the “985 Engineering Advantage Discipline Innovation Platform”; in 2017, it entered the national “double first-class” construction sequence. The school is now part of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

In the course of more than 60 years of schooling, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics has become a research-oriented university with aerospace and civil aviation characteristics, which is based on the combination of science and engineering, engineering, science, economics, management, and literature. Campus
The university has two campuses, Ming Palace and Jiangjun Road. It covers an area of 2,077 mu and has a construction area of 1.148 million square meters. The library has more than 2.78 million printed documents and 11.2 million electronic and digital information resources. There are 3,131 faculty members, including 1,845 full-time teachers. Among the full-time teachers, there are 1,260 senior titles, 516 doctoral supervisors, 11 academicians and double academicians, 24 overseas high-level talent introduction programs, 20 Changjiang Scholars, and 8 outstanding youth fund recipients. Foreign English Teacher Recruitment

Job Description:
The role of a Foreign English teacher is to help our students speak English and improve English practical skills. Those responsibilities include preparing lessons and lesson material, teaching young adult students, holding counseling sessions, assisting colleagues, maintaining records, writing progress reports, etc. You will have about 10-12 classes per week, each class for 45 minutes; there is no office hours required for this position.

Qualification
1. Native English speakers.
2. 25-60 years old.
3. Bachelor’s degree or above. Master’s degree preferred.
4. At least 2 years of English teaching experience, or holding a TEFL/TESOL/CELTA certificate. (Nanjing has a stricter regulations on teaching experience; teachers are expected to have more than 2 years experience to be considered for university teaching positions)
5. Teach English speaking and western culture courses, around 10-12 classes per week.

There are 6 canteens serving delicious Chinese dishes to faculty and students. Also the Jiangjun Mountain is about 10 mins walk from the campus, which is a popular hiking place. If you want to hit the downtown, take the subway for 30 minutes so you can visit various historical sites including the Ancient Wall and the Presidential Palace.
