Introduction to Liaoning University of International Business and Economics
Liaoning University of International Business and Economics (辽宁对外经贸学院, website) is a non-profit, private, general college. In March 2005, it was established with the approval of the Ministry of Education. The school was founded in October 1964, when it was named the Liaoning Province Foreign Trade Vocational School, running schools in Shenyang and Dalian. In 1966, the school was stopped due to the “Cultural Revolution”. In January 1979, the school was resumed in Sandaogou, Ganjingzi District, Dalian, and was named Liaoning Foreign Trade School. In May 1987, the school relocated to Yangshugou, Shahekou District, Dalian. In April 1997, the Liaoning Provincial Department of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation agreed to establish a private branch school of the Liaoning Foreign Trade School in the Lushun Economic and Technological Development Zone. In July 1999, the Ministry of Education approved the promotion of the Liaoning Foreign Trade School Private Branch School to a higher vocational college, which was named Wancheng Vocational College of Economics and Trade. In February 2001, the Liaoning Provincial Government approved its name to be Liaoning Vocational College of Foreign Trade and Economics, September 2003 And jointly recruit undergraduates with Liaoning Normal University. In March 2005, the Ministry of Education approved the establishment of the Liaoning Institute of Foreign Economics and Trade at the undergraduate level, a full-time ordinary college, under the Education Department of Liaoning Province. Liaoning University of International Business and Economics is located on the shores of the Bohai Sea and in the historic city of Dalian Lushun. The library has a collection of 1.228 million books, 11 thousand campus network contacts, and 74 labs of various types. There are currently 648 full-time teachers, including 370 with senior titles. It has a professional teacher team consisting of national outstanding teachers, provincial outstanding experts, provincial outstanding teachers, provincial teaching teachers, provincial high school talents, and provincial outstanding young talents. The international economics and trade teaching team, the marketing professional teaching team, and the mental health education teaching team are provincial-level outstanding teaching teams.
The university currently has 4 disciplines, 5 first-level disciplines, 12 second-level disciplines, and 18 undergraduate majors. There are five second-level colleges including the School of International Economics and Trade, the School of Accounting, the School of Foreign Languages, the International Business School, and the School of Information Management13 Departments, enrolling students in 30 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities). International economics and trade majors are national specialty specialty construction sites, provincial undergraduate demonstration majors, provincial higher education comprehensive reform pilot majors, provincial undergraduate curriculum system international pilot majors, provincial innovation and entrepreneurship reform pilot majors, and provincial-oriented application-oriented majors. Transformation pilot and demonstration majors, the International Commodity Trading Analysis and Simulation Laboratory is the provincial key laboratory of Liaoning Province, the International Economics and Management Experimental Teaching Center, the Tourism Management Experimental Teaching Center, the Language Comprehensive Experimental Teaching Center and the Information Management Comprehensive Experimental Teaching The center is the Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center of General Colleges and Universities in Liaoning Province.
Liaoning University of International Business and Economics has successively worked with the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Commerce’s Institute of International Business Officials Training, the Liaoning Provincial Department of Commerce, the People’s Government of Lvshunkou District, Dalian, the Liaoning Foreign Trade Enterprise Association, Sinotrans Liaoning Company, and Janbert (Dalian) Co., Ltd., Neusoft Group, Bank of China Dalian Branch and other governments, enterprises and institutions, and industry associations have established in-depth industry-university-research cooperation relationships, providing a good platform for student internship and employment. It has established friendly cooperative relations with 15 universities and 5 educational institutions in nearly 10 countries including the United States, Russia, the United Kingdom, Japan, and New Zealand.
Liaoning University of International Business and Economics is the Dalian base of the Ministry of Commerce training center, the executive director unit of the China International Trade Association, the executive deputy director unit of the National Foreign Economic and Trade Vocational Education and Teaching Steering Committee, the Liaoning Service Outsourcing Talent Training Base, the Liaoning Foreign Trade Industry Chairman unit of school-enterprise alliance, research base of Dalian Academy of Social Sciences. Won the National “First Huang Yanpei Outstanding School Award”, the National “Foreign Economic and Trade Education System Advanced Collective”, the National “Advanced Unit for College Student Apartment Management and Service”, the “Civilized Institution” in Liaoning Province, and the “May 1 Labor Certificate” , Dalian “environment-friendly university” and other honorary titles.
