Introduction to Jiangxi Water Resources Institute
Jiangxi Water Resources Institute (江西水利职业学院, website) is a public full-time general technical college approved by the People’s Government of Jiangxi Province and filed by the Ministry of Education. The college was founded in 1956 (formerly known as the Jiangxi Water Conservancy and Electric Power College). It is the only higher vocational college in water conservancy and hydropower in Jiangxi and is affiliated to the Jiangxi Provincial Water Resources Department.
Jiangxi Water Resources Institute is located in Nanchang. Covering an area of 708 acres, the campus has a beautiful campus environment and a strong academic atmosphere. It is adjacent to Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics, East China Jiaotong University, and Jiangxi University of Science and Technology. The college has sufficient teaching equipment and complete infrastructure, with a total construction area of more than 100,000 square meters, a collection of 210,000 books of various types, a sports field of 40,000 square meters, and an indoor stadium, standard track and field stadium, football field, basketball court, volleyball 14 ball sports fields. It has built a training building of more than 10,000 square meters, 49 internship (training) places and laboratories, more than 5,000 sets of teaching and scientific research equipment, and a total value of more than 50 million yuan. There are also off-campus practice bases in Xiajiang and Gongqingcheng.

Jiangxi Water Resources Institute has 7 departments including water engineering department, construction engineering department, resources and environment engineering department, mechanical and electrical engineering department, information engineering department, economic management department, and ideological and political department according to the needs of industry and regional economic development. Majors such as agricultural water conservancy technology, water conservancy and hydropower construction engineering, hydrology and water resources, engineering measurement technology, applied electronics technology, computer application technology, etc.
