Hunan Industry Polytechnic (湖南工业职业技术学院, website) is a higher vocational technical college established in 1999 with the approval of the Ministry of Education. The predecessor of the school, Hunan Industrial School, was founded in 1955. It is a national model higher vocational college, the first batch of model higher vocational colleges in Hunan Province, and the first batch of outstanding college construction units in Hunan Province.
Hunan Industry Polytechnic is located in Yuelu Science and Technology Industrial Park, Yuelu District, Changsha City. It covers an area of 1031 acres, a building area of 380,000 square meters, fixed assets of 678 million yuan, more than 2,000 sets of advanced training equipment, and the original value of the equipment exceeds 100 million yuan. The library has 850,000 books.
