The predecessor of Hebei University of Technology was Beiyang Technology School, which was founded in 1903. It is the earliest college for cultivating industrial talents in China and the earliest university-run factory in the country. In 1929 it was renamed Hebei Provincial Institute of Technology, and in 1995 it was renamed Hebei University of Technology. Over the past 116 years, the school has always upheld the spirit of “diligent, pragmatic and loyal”, adhered to the school running characteristics of “simultaneous work and study,” and formed a “diligent, rigorous, realistic, and enterprising” school style. The multi-disciplinary coordinated development of the National “211 Project” focuses on the construction of universities. It was jointly established by the People’s Government of Hebei Province, the People’s Government of Tianjin City, and the Ministry of Education. “World-class disciplines” will build universities, and the school will focus on building “advanced equipment engineering and technology” discipline groups. Hebei University of Technology has 18 teaching institutions and 73 undergraduate majors, covering engineering, science, economics, management, liberal arts, law, and arts. Hebei University of Technology pays attention to the connotative development, quality improvement and brand building of international exchanges and cooperation. On the occasion of the 115th anniversary of the university, we interviewed a group of people who traveled to the University of Technology from various countries in the world. They have different skin colors, but they are devoted to the same cause; they have different mother tongues, but they have the same educating spirit; they have different cultural backgrounds, but they are also interested in China. They are foreign teachers from the International Education College of Hebei University of Technology.
“The teachers are funny and humorous in private, and we will soon become friends!” “But the class requirements are very strict!” “No matter how personal we are, we will never relax when it comes to academic issues, especially strict!” The foreign teachers and teachers in my heart were described with great interest to the author.
Foreign teachers proudly say that although the students’ native language is not English, they have high quality and solid foundation, and their language skills and learning ability can fully support their understanding of the classroom content. Moreover, they adhere to the principle of gradual progress in the setting of the difficulty of the course, from shallow to deep, from easy to difficult, by issuing pre-reading materials for students to learn before class, and using the teaching platform to arrange and correct post-class assignments to help students better understand classroom knowledge and apply it.

He felt very warm at the University of Technology and even missed his colleagues and classmates when he returned to his hometown during the holidays.
Amjed, also from Massey University, said with a smile on his face: “The Chinese teacher and I have surpassed the friendship of colleagues, we are good friends!” And the student got along with him very happily: to help him when he first arrived in China.
