The school has won second prize in National Technological Invention and six other prizes in Fujian Provincial Technological Invention.

In 2010, the university passed through the evaluation of qualified undergraduate educational institutions and was designated as a member of the initial group of ‘Excellent Engineering Training Programs’. In 2013, FJUT became the only institution newly added to the list of universities awarding master’s degrees in Fujian Province for the period of 2008 to 2015.
