Dehong Teachers College (德宏师范高等专科学校, website) is a general college run by the People’s Government of Yunnan Province and under the supervision of the Education Department of Yunnan Province. The school is located in Mangshi, the prefecture of Dehong Dai and Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province. Its predecessors were the Dehong Prefecture Ethnic Normal School founded in 1955, the Dehong Prefecture Agricultural School in 1958, and the Dehong Teachers Special Class in 1978; 1984 In April, with the approval of the Yunnan Provincial People’s Government, the Dehong Education College was established on the basis of the Dehong Teachers’ Class. In 2004 and 2006, Dehong Prefecture Ethnic Normal School and Dehong Prefecture Agricultural School were integrated into Dehong Education College as a whole. In 2006, Dehong Teachers College was established on the basis of Dehong Education College.
Dehong Teachers College currently has 1,095.20 acres of land (975.89 acres on the new campus and 119.30 acres on the old campus), with a total building area of 250,000 square meters, of which the old campus has 47,000 square meters and the new campus has 203,000 square meters.
