City College of Science and Technology, Chongqing University (重庆大学城市科技学院, website) is a comprehensive full-time general college mainly based on undergraduate education established by the Ministry of Education. The school is hosted by Chongqing University, a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education, the national “211 Project” and “985 Project”, and a national “world-class university construction university (Class A)”-Chongqing University, Chongqing Independent college in charge of the Municipal Education Commission.
City College of Science and Technology, Chongqing University is one of the 37 participating universities in the Ministry of Education’s “Research on the Strategic Reform of China University of Applied Science and Technology” and one of the 6 universities in Chongqing’s first group of transformation and development alliances. Since 2013, it has been ranked No. 1 in the national independent colleges for the fourth consecutive year; from 2015 to 2018, it has been ranked among the top ten of the “Independent College of Brand Impact of the Year” by Xinhuanet for four consecutive years, and has been ranked by Tencent’s “Independent Brand Strength of the Year” for many years in a row. City College of Science and Technology, Chongqing University currently has two campuses, Yongchuan and Banan (under construction), which are located at the foothills of the Chashan Bamboo Sea in the famous scenic spot of Yongchuan District, Chongqing, and the higher vocational city of Banan District, covering a total area of 1977.
