Chongqing Technology and Business Institute (重庆工商职业学院, website) is a public full-time ordinary college that is hosted by the Chongqing Municipal People’s Government and approved by the Ministry of Education. It is open to national admissions and is also a state-approved admission unit for international students. The school is a national backbone higher vocational college established by the Ministry of Education of China, a demonstration vocational college in Chongqing, an advanced collective for graduate employment in Chongqing, an advanced collective for student management in Chongqing, and a safe and civilized campus in Chongqing. In recent years, the school has vigorously implemented innovation-driven development. It has been ranked in the top 100 in the National Higher Vocational Education Quality Annual Report 2016-2017, ranked 48th in the impact of innovation and development, and top 50 in social services. The school currently has two campuses, Hechuan and Jiulongpo Huayan, covering a total area of 1339 acres. It currently has 775 faculty members, including 47 people with professors and other senior titles, and associate professors, senior engineers, and senior experimenters. Chongqing Technology and Business Institute has a Gigabit campus network, a modern teaching building, a comprehensive building, an experimental building, a studio, an academic lecture hall, a student activity center, a student apartment, and a comprehensive stadium. It has also cooperated with the Open University of England, Cardiffwell College, University of Pisa, and Nanyang of Singapore. The Polytechnic Institute, Dublin Institute of Technology, Ireland, Malaysian Multimedia University, The University of Hong Kong, The Open University of Hong Kong, Taiwan Qiaoguang University of Technology, and the Ministry of Education of Thailand have established cooperative exchanges.
The school has promoted the innovation and entrepreneurship education and teaching reform by improving the teacher’s innovation ability, and promoted employment by entrepreneurship. It has invested 1 million to build a college student entrepreneurship center, and explored a trinity of entrepreneurship education model of “entrepreneurship teaching, entrepreneurship simulation, and entrepreneurship practice.
