Introduction to Chongqing Institute of Foreign Studies

Chongqing Institute of Foreign Studies, formerly known as Chongqing Nanfang Translators College of SISU (重庆外语外事学院, website) is a full-time private general undergraduate college organized by Lexian Education Consulting (Ganzhou) Co., Ltd.

The predecessor of the school was Chongqing Nanfang Translators College of SISU, which was founded in 2001. The school began enrolling in 2002, was recognized as an independent college by the Ministry of Education in 2003, and obtained the right to grant bachelor degrees in 2011; it was renamed Sichuan International Studies University Chongqing South School of Translation and Interpretation in 2014 .

As of March 2021, the school has two campuses, Yubei and Qijiang, with a total area of 1548.92 mu, a total school building area of 421,800 square meters, a teaching and research equipment value of 52,989,300 yuan, and a collection of more than 1.38 million books; There are 11 secondary colleges (departments) and 35 undergraduate majors; there are more than 800 full-time teachers and more than 15,600 undergraduate students.

The school has in-depth cooperation with many companies, including the Chongqing National Advertising Industrial Park and the Airport International Trade Demonstration Park in Yubei District, Chongqing. The school and the Exit-Entry Administration of Chongqing Municipal Public Security Bureau jointly built a foreign language translation talent pool, and launched the ETIC international talent project with Beijing Foreign Studies University Foreign Language Evaluation Center.
