Chongqing Chemical Industry Vocational College (重庆化工职业学院, website) is a public full-time ordinary college organized by the Chongqing Municipal People’s Government and co-founded by the Chongqing Education Commission, the Chongqing Education Commission and the Chongqing Economic and Information Commission. The college was formerly known as Chongqing Chemical Industry Workers College and Chongqing Chemical Medical Technician College under the supervision of Chongqing Chemical Industry Bureau and Chongqing Economic and Informatization Commission. It was founded in 1964. It was approved by the Chongqing Municipal Government in April 2010 and approved by the Ministry of Education. The filing system was restructured into a higher vocational college and approved by the Chongqing Municipal Government.
Chongqing Chemical Industry Vocational College covers an area of 638 acres, with a total construction area of 189,900 square meters. There are two campuses in Jiangbei and Changshou. The Jiangbei Campus is located in the commercial center of the main city of Chongqing, the Guanyinqiao commercial district in Jiangbei District. The Changshou Campus is located at the foothills of the Bodhi Scenic Spot in Changshou District.
The school has perfect conditions for internship training, including 38 on-site training bases, experimental training equipment worth more than 31 million yuan, and training grounds of more than 60,000 square meters, which can meet the needs of students in various fields for training and internship. Confederation and China Chemical Industry Education Association were rated as “National Model Training Base”. Relying on large-scale enterprises and institutions, there are 55 stable off-campus practice bases. The college library has more than 300,000 books and more than 2T digital resources. In the past two years, it has invested more than 30 million yuan to build a high-level digital campus.
Chongqing Chemical Industry Vocational College has 7 secondary faculties of the School of Chemical Engineering, the School of Environmental and Quality Inspection, the School of Pharmaceutical Engineering, the School of Mechanical and Automation Engineering, the School of Architectural Engineering and Art Design, the School of Finance and Economics, the School of Continuing Education, and the Marxist College , General education college, military sports department and other teaching departments.
