Changsha Vocational and Technical College (长沙职业技术学院) is a full-time higher vocational college hosted by the Changsha Municipal People’s Government and the teaching business is under the supervision of the Education Department of Hunan Province. The college has a long history of running a school, and its predecessor was the Liuyang Normal School of Hunan Province, which was founded in 1902 by his wife, Li Chen, and others. The college covers an area of more than 600 acres. There are two campuses, Lei Feng (Main Campus) and Liuyang (East Campus). There are more than 9,800 students and nearly 600 faculty members, including 120 teachers with a senior professional title or above, and a master’s degree. 264 PhD teachers.
Changsha Vocational and Technical College has special education colleges, preschool education colleges, intelligent manufacturing engineering colleges, automotive engineering colleges, economic trade and information technology colleges, architecture and art design colleges, and continuing education colleges. The college is the only training base for special education teachers in Hunan Province. The construction project unit, Hunan Scientific Research Base for Education, etc., has a national vocational skills appraisal office and a reemployment training base.
