Changsha University (长沙学院, website), approved by the Ministry of Education, is a nationally-developed undergraduate planning university for the “Thirteenth Five-Year Plan” period of national industrial-educational integration development engineering. The construction project of high-level application characteristics college was awarded “Hunan Civilized University”. The school implements a system of joint construction and management of provinces and cities, with Changsha as the main management system. Changsha University actively develops open schools and conducts international cooperation and exchange activities in a comprehensive manner. From the beginning of the school (1984) to 2017, it has established cooperative exchanges with more than 50 universities, research institutions and international organizations in more than 20 countries and regions, and signed inter-school exchanges with nearly 30 foreign universities protocol. Since the establishment of the Foreign Affairs Office of the school in 1998, it has received more than 800 visitors from 118 delegations from dozens of countries or regions, and has cultivated nearly 50 foreign students. In recent years, more than 200 people have visited overseas, studied abroad, advanced in training, internships, and participated in international conferences.
The university and Hunan University carry out comprehensive strategic cooperation, actively participate in the construction of the Malanshan video cultural and creative industry park, and carry out strategic cooperation with the national parks such as Changsha Economic and Technological Development Zone, Changsha High-tech Industrial Development Zone, and Liuyang Biological Industry Base.
