Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture originated from the Beijing Normal Junior Elementary School established by the Qing government in 1907. In 1933, it was renamed the Beiping Municipal Advanced Vocational School. In 1936, it added the Civil Engineering Department. Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture has two campuses, Xicheng and Daxing.
