Beijing Language and Culture University (北京语言大学, website) is a university directly under the Ministry of Education of China. It was established under the personal care of Premier Zhou Enlai. Beijing Language and Culture University is the only international university in China that focuses on the education of Chinese and Chinese culture for foreign students in China. It is known as the “Little United Nations”. The school provides professional education for Chinese students in foreign languages, Chinese, information science, economics, and arts. Beijing Language and Culture University has the longest history, largest scale, and strongest faculty in international Chinese language and culture education. Since the 1990s, Beijing Language and Culture University has maintained its characteristics and advantages in the field of Chinese international education.
