Introduction to Beijing Geely University
Beijing Geely University (北京吉利学院, website) is a private full-time undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education. It was founded in 2000 by Geely Holding Group, a Fortune 500 company, to host higher vocational education. On April 30, 2014, the school was upgraded to an undergraduate college with the approval of the Ministry of Education.
The university is located in Changping Park, Zhongguancun National Innovation Demonstration Zone, Beijing. The school covers an area of 1,300 acres, with a total construction area of 450,000 square meters; the library has a construction area of 24,000 square meters, a collection of 660,000 books, and 1.2 million electronic books. The school has nearly a hundred experimental training rooms and more than 50 off-campus training bases. There are currently Colleges of Automotive Engineering, Business School, School of Humanities and Design and Boya College.
