Introduction to Beijing Electronic Science and Technology Institute
Beijing Electronic Science and Technology Institute (北京电子科技学院, website) is an ordinary college that trains information security and office automation professionals for party and government agencies at all levels across the country. The college is affiliated to the General Office of the CPC Central Committee.
The predecessor of Beijing Electronic Science and Technology Institute was the Young Workers Training Course of the Central Working Committee, which was opened in Xibaipo, Pingshan County, Hebei Province in August 1947, and is directly managed by the Central Working Committee. Over the past 70 years, it has experienced development periods such as the Zhangjiakou Military Commission Engineering School, Beijing Electronics College, and Beijing Electronic Science and Technology Institute. The college is located at 7 Fufeng Road, Fengtai District, Beijing, and currently has more than 2,000 full-time students.
Since the establishment of the school, the Beijing Electronic Science and Technology Institute has always received the kind attention and high attention of leaders of the Party Central Committee and the Central Office. Comrades Mao Zedong, Deng Xiaoping, Jiang Zemin, Hu Jintao, and Xi Jinping gave inscriptions to encourage them. Comrade Jiang Zemin also wrote the school name for the college. Comrades such as Qiao Shi, Wen Jiabao, Zeng Qinghong, Wang Gang, Li Zhanshu and other central leaders have given many important instructions for the development and construction of the college and visited the college many times.
Beijing Electronic Science and Technology Institute has developed to this day, and has become a teaching-oriented college that focuses on work, science, work, and management. There are 4 departments and 2 teaching departments: Department of Cryptography and Technology, Department of Cyberspace Security, Department of Electronic and Communication Engineering, Department of Management, Teaching and Research Department of Ideological and Political Theory, and Teaching and Research Department of Humanities and Social Sciences. There are 8 undergraduate majors.
The college has an authorized master’s degree in cyberspace security, a first-class academic master’s degree, and an authorized master’s degree in electronic information categories (including electronic and communication engineering and computer technology). Information and communication engineering, computer application technology academic master’s degree; with the University of Science and Technology of China, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications joint training of cyberspace security first-level academic academic doctoral point.
Beijing Electronic Science and Technology Institute actively implements the strategy of “strong talents in schools” and has strong teaching and research capabilities. The proportion of full-time teachers with senior titles is more than 55%, and the proportion of masters and doctors is more than 85%. More than 20 teachers enjoy special government allowances from the State Council, and many teachers have been awarded the titles of “Beijing Famous Teachers”, “Beijing Excellent Teachers” and “Beijing Young Backbone Teachers”.
The college has sent a large number of high-quality talents to the party and the country. Among the alumni of the college, a number of leading role models and advanced model figures from all walks of life have emerged. More than 50 people have held leadership positions at the provincial, ministerial, military, and national bureaus, and more than 400 have held leadership positions at the national ministries and commissions and provincial departments.
