Shenyang Aerospace University (SAU, Jobs) is a multi-disciplinary college that specializes in aviation and aerospace, with work as the mainstay, coordinated development of engineering, science, culture, economics, management, and art. It is the Ministry of Education, AVIC Group and Liaoning. The three provinces jointly established colleges and universities, which is jointly established by the National Defense Science and Technology Bureau and Liaoning Province. It is a training base for the shortage of talents (aerospace) in the equipment manufacturing industry in Liaoning Province. It has been basically built into a “national defense science and technology talent training base” and “Liaoning old industrial revitalization”. “Human training base”, and strive to build “a domestic first-class equipment manufacturing technology engineering research base.”
Shenyang Aerospace University was founded in 1952 and is one of the six undergraduate aviation colleges affiliated to the former Ministry of Aviation Industry. It was formerly known as “Shenyang Aviation Industry School” and later passed the “Northeast First Industrial School”, “Shenyang Aviation College” and “Shenyang”. In the development stage of the Aviation Industry Institute, it was officially renamed as “Shenyang Aerospace University” in March 2010. In 2014, the People’s Government of Liaoning Province and the Ministry of Education and China Aviation Industry Corporation jointly built Shen Hang. In 2016, the Liaoning Provincial People’s Government and the National Defense Science and Technology Bureau decided to continue to build Shenhai during the 13th Five-Year Plan period. In 2017, China Aviation Engine Group and Shenhang signed a strategic cooperation agreement to jointly build the Aviation Engine Academy.
Shenyang Aerospace University covers an area of 1,731 mu, with a construction area of 816,000 square meters, a total fixed assets of 1.96 billion yuan, and a total value of 471 million yuan for teaching and research equipment. As of August 31, 2018, the library had 1,278,083 books (including books, back issues, dissertations, excluding department books), 4,590 newspapers and magazines, and 683,768 e-books. There are more than 22,000 students of various types.
Shenyang Aerospace University has the qualification to promote the postgraduate degree, and is a doctoral degree-granting unit. There is one doctoral first-level degree point, 15 master-level first-level degree points, and 12 professional master’s degree points. Now it has formed the design and manufacture of aviation equipment. The aerospace discipline group with the main research direction and the information science discipline group with “aviation informationization and control technology” as the main research direction.

The competition results are among the top universities in Liaoning Province.
Since the founding of the school, Shenyang Aerospace University has trained more than 100,000 graduates for national aerospace and other national defense industries and local economic construction. More than 10,000 of them have worked in aerospace and other defense science and technology enterprises and institutions, and more than a thousand have senior professional and technical titles. More than 100 people served as senior management positions such as chairman, general manager, deputy general manager and chief engineer, and made important contributions to national defense modernization and national economic construction. In recent years, the average employment rate of undergraduate graduates in schools has exceeded 95%.
Shenyang Aerospace University has two national-level scientific research platforms, including the National and Local Joint Engineering Research Center for New Energy General Aircraft Technology, 20 provincial and ministerial key laboratories (engineering centers), and one provincial-level collaborative innovation center. “Aeronautical Manufacturing Process Digital Defense Key Discipline Laboratory” is one of 34 national defense key discipline laboratories. The General Aviation Key Laboratory is a major technology platform for the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan” in Liaoning Province. It successfully developed three new energy aircraft. Among them, China’s first electric two-seater “Ruixiang” (RX1E) is the only one in the world. One of the four aircrafts for airworthiness certification by the US ASTM standard is the first electric light aircraft issued by the National Civil Aviation Administration for the “Airworthiness Model Certification”. Since the “Eleventh Five-Year Plan”, the school has undertaken more than 200 national-level projects including the National 863, 973 Project, the National Natural Science Foundation Project, the National Defense Advanced Research Project, the National Defense Basic Research Project, the Aviation Pre-Research and the Aviation Model Research Project. The scientific research indicators have been improved year by year. In the past five years, the total number of scientific research projects in schools has exceeded 100 million yuan per year, basically reaching an average of more than 100,000 yuan per teacher. More than 3019 papers have been published, including 458 SCI papers, 842 EI papers, and ISTP. There are 642 papers and 1159 core Chinese papers. A total of 515 patent applications were filed, including 333 invention patents, 143 utility model patents, and 39 software copyright patents; 336 patents were granted, including 149 invention patents, 151 utility model patents, and 36 software copyright patents. The teachers won 34 provincial science and technology progress awards and invention awards, including 6 provincial first prizes, 12 provincial second prizes, provincial third prizes, and municipal science and technology awards.
Shenyang Aerospace University has more than 1600 faculty members and nearly 1,000 full-time teachers. Among them, there are 1 academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and 12 special academicians; there are 20 doctoral tutors and 368 master tutors; 503 teachers with senior technical titles and 405 teachers with doctoral degrees; There are 1 national defense science and technology innovation team, 4 university innovation teams in Liaoning Province, 3 provincial teaching teams, 13 teaching teachers in Liaoning Province, and 25 school-level teaching teachers. One person from the Ministry of Education in the new century, three outstanding experts from Liaoning Province, 25 experts enjoying special government allowances from the State Council, 5 special professors from Liaoning Province, 2 climbing scholars from Liaoning Province, and 72 talents from Liaoning Province. There are 23 young backbone teachers in Liaoning Province; nearly 100 well-known scholars at home and abroad serve as adjunct professors.
More than 1,200 students from 80 countries are studying at the university. The number of graduates is the highest in the province. It is one of the 20 universities in Liaoning Province that undertakes the task of training Chinese government scholarship students. 125 foreign universities and research institutes such as the Moscow Aviation Academy of Russia have established academic exchanges and scientific research cooperation. In the past five years, teachers have gone abroad for more than 300 person-times, and nearly 700 students from abroad have conducted research cooperation, academic exchanges, and further training at home and abroad.
