Beijing Forestry University (北京林业大学, website) is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education and jointly established by the Ministry of Education and the State Forestry and Grassland Administration. The school’s history can be traced back to 1902 in the Beijing Normal University’s Agricultural Sciences. In 1952, the colleges and universities of the country were reorganized. The Forestry Department of Beijing Agricultural University merged with the Forestry Department of Hebei Agricultural College to establish Beijing Forestry College. In 1956, the gardening department of Beijing Agricultural University and the architecture department of Tsinghua University were merged into the school.
