Introduction to Léman International School
Founded in 2009, Léman International School (成都乐盟国际学校, website) is the premier international school in southwestern China.
The school covers an area of 50 hectares and provides international education for students from kindergarten to 13th grade. Our kindergarten adopts the International Kindergarten Curriculum (IEYC), which adopts international best practices, a comprehensive inquiry and game-based approach, and covers all curriculum areas including personal, social and emotional development. Our primary school’s math, English and physical education implement the British National Curriculum, combined with the International Primary School Curriculum (IPC) widely used in 1,000 schools in 65 countries, to provide our primary school students with a comprehensive educational experience. The International Baccalaureate Middle School Program (MYP) is adopted for the 7-11 grades of the middle school, and the International Baccalaureate Program (IBDP) is adopted for the 12th and 13th grades. We provide students with two foreign language courses, Chinese and French, and Korean courses for students whose mother tongue is Korean.
The school occupies a vast area and has world-class facilities. Including well-equipped modern classrooms, science laboratories, art classrooms, music classrooms, IT rooms, gymnasiums, swimming pools and large outdoor sports facilities, including two full-size football fields, which allows us to provide students with a wide range of extracurricular activities And sports and art projects.
We are proud that three-quarters of our graduates have chosen and been admitted to the world’s top universities (according to the QS World University Rankings). Our graduates attend the best universities in the world, including Oxford University, Tsinghua University, University College London, London School of Economics and Political Science and New York University. Our graduates studied in two of the world’s top three art and design colleges, and entered the New York Fashion Institute, Porsche and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) graduated by Calvin Klein and Michael Kors as internships.
We are a member of the Nord Anglia family of education, which allows us to establish unique connections with schools and opportunities around the world. Including cooperation with Juilliard School, the world leader in performing arts education, the world’s top university Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and our cooperation with UNICEF, which can raise students’ social awareness and make them more concerned about the world and humanity problem. Our unique online and classroom collaboration platform “Global Campus” connects more than 67,000 Nord Anglia students. We also visited adventure centers in Tanzania and Switzerland, which made children’s learning beyond imagination.
